Alan’s Adventures in Masculand adapts Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass into a full-length, two-act musical, exploring themes of hegemonic masculinity, gender identity, sexuality, and fatherhood. Alan’s Adventures in Masculand asks the question, how do we define our masculinity in a society trying to define it for us? The musical is a comedy with a musical style combining a variety of musical genres to explore different expressions of masculinity in audibly different ways. Due to the nature of the show, it was written with the intention of double-casting between some characters in Masculand, and some characters in Alan’s memories. Its first drafts, were completed and performed as part of a capstone project for Pace University’s BA Writing for Diversity and Equity in Theater and Media program in 2024/2025

Scooby-Doosical the Musical (Parody)
Booky, Music, and Lyrics, Organizer
Begun at age 16, Scooby-Doosical the Musical was a project from early in the pandemic. While it’s never been produced, it’s had multiple readings for fun. The work is near and dear to me, and is a perfect capsule of who I was at that age, and I frequently will pull out some of my favorite songs from it for performances.
